Videos
Here are various video projects that I have created over the years.
My Odyssey
Here's one I created for a 9th Grade English Project detailing my life (odyssey) to that point. (For Homer's "The Odyssey") There are many seemingly long scenes, but their purpose served to give me time. I made this video as a supplement to a live presentation and I narrated over and described the scenes.
Florence
I made this video for a 7th grade social studies project. It discusses Florence during the renaissance. I learned a great deal about the Ken Burns Effect of adding motion to still pictures. I really loved how well the music's mood matched the scenes.
Respiratory System
Here's another science project (7th grade). I learned more about getting a decent chromakey shot since my first video. I also learned many things about compositing Adobe After Effects, including 3D camera pans and multi-layered video.
My Inferno
Another English Project (10th grade) giving my perspective on hell. (For Dante's "The Inferno") The project begins with the silly frustration of failing a state examination, but afterwards a true, heartfelt version of hell is revealed. The end of the movie (beginning at 5min 40sec) is inspired by the end of "Love Actually".
Halloween Hoopla
Here's a video I made for Olsen Middle School's "Halloween Hoopla". This was played through the Olsen CCTV and broadcast to the school. This is a long video; you may find it worth while to skip to around the 10 minute mark.
Stages Of Mass
This was the first video I made. It was a 7th grade group science project where we were suppose to distinguish between and depict the three different phases of matter if each phase were a person. I played "sohlyd". Being my first video, I learned many of the basics of non-linear editing and digital video. Quite frankly, the bloopers at the end are the best part.
